Privacy
Okay, there's something to be said about privacy. So we're going to lay the policy on the line right here and now. This policy is never going to change as far as we can tell. Well, it might if we ever have lawyers who force us to be serious. In such event we can only assure you that this policy will remain in force though surely better worded.
- The forum may collect data, it may email for verification.
- The contact us form will have your IP address and your email if you use a real one.
- You may email us and we'll have your address.
- We might someday sell you something, we'll have your contact information but surely we won't have your credit card number or bank number as that will be dealt with by a third party.
- Our server logs all requests sent via IP address (it even gets more information like your browser, operating system, etc.)
This being said, in all five instances, we really don't care. We don't have time to worry about such things and you can rest 100% sure that we will never give, sell, trade, and (hopefully) lose this data.
Don't get this wrong, it's not that we don't care about your privacy at all it's just that we don't have any data from you that anyone would want and even if they did we'd not give it to them. We will not give it to law enforcement officers without a fight unless you're actively committing an immoral act against us via the web. (As a side note we happen to like immoral acts committed to us in person.) We will not give it to your ISP unless you're committing a crime against us.
It is your responsibility to make sure you don't give us things we should not have. Don't email us your credit card numbers for example. I can ensure that we won't use them but we don't want to be in a position to be blamed. Don't email us your passwords, don't email us anything you wouldn't want someone else to have access to. We use strong passwords and change them often, but, well... Is there really anything safe any more?
We respect your right to privacy and truly haven't a clue what we'd do with your personal data anyhow. We're too busy to even consider taking the time to abuse it nor would we risk damaging our reputation. Besides, we have mothers, what would they think if we did that?
Sincerely,
G³
