Disable System Restore
There are many people using older hardware and wanting to get the most out of their computer. One of the things that they often want to do is to disable System Restore. We highly recommend against doing such a thing without a backup process already in place - but, if you insist...
First see here:
Backup! Image/Clone
When you're done with that...
- From your desktop right click on My Computer
- Select Properties
- Click Performance
- Click on the File System tab
- Click on Troubleshooting
- Select Disable System Restore
- Click OK (as needed)
