Delete the index.dat Files
There are a lot of articles out there that will give you all sorts of reasons for deleting the index.dat files. The privacy nuts will happily claim that they are able to be read and will give up information about you. The reality is they should secure their PC a bit better. It is kind of funny, "Oh no! You can't delete it under Windows! It's a conspiracy!"
Having figured this should be cleared up for a while now and having been meaning to write this for even longer:
Umm...
Login to a different account, take ownership if you must, and delete it. It will be recreated when the user logs in again.
